The Secret of Endo Success

How would you rate yourself as a collaborator?

According to a recent survey by the American Association of Endodontists (AAE), the majority of general dentists (86%) say their best endodontic partners collaborate on treatment plans for referred patients.

Obviously, collaboration is a critical skill for endodontists. The better you are at it, the stronger your relationships with referring dentists. And those relationships are what ensure a steady flow of referred patients to your office.

In addition to collaboration, the survey said GPs value an endodontist’s ability to accommodate emergencies and availability for second opinions.

Dr. Gerald N. Glickman, AAE president, summed it best: “With more than 15 million root canals performed in the U.S. every year, dental practices, along with their patients, could benefit from even greater collaboration with endodontists.”
