Is It Time for Lunch?

When was the last time you got together with one of your top referring dentists? Has it been several months? Or longer?

Some endodontists ignore their referring doctors except around the holidays. That’s a mistake. Don’t take your referrers for granted. In this economy, many GPs are performing more root canals themselves. By strengthening your referral relationships, your colleagues are more likely to keep referring to you.

While it might be challenging to get together with referring doctors once a quarter, your efforts will be well worth it. Endodontists who maintain regular contact with referring doctors experience improved inter-practice communication, a better referral process and increased referrals.
